Marketing Intern

Hours: Part-Time: Approx. 25 Hours/Week

Reporting to: Senior Marketing Manager 

We’re Looking For: 

A smart, driven professional with a passion for social media and marketing, a willingness to take initiative and an eagerness to learn.

We are looking for an organised, highly motivated individual who is ready to hit the ground running as part of the OQ Crew. This person works well both independently, and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

This person will help manage the day-to-day of OQ’s marketing tactics, including social media posting, community management, event planning, influencer gifting and visual merchandising. They’ll also assist on global marketing campaigns for Ollie Quinn, liaising with our boutique teams from Seattle to London.

Candidates should have:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for marketing, communications and social media
- An understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Post-secondary education with an emphasis in communications or a related discipline

Candidates should be:

- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Highly self-motivated and keen to take initiative
- Highly organised with an attention to detail
- Friendly and sociable with a keen sense of humour
- Able to thrive in a small team environment, collaborate effectively and prioritize efficiently
- Eager to learn with a demonstrated passion for learning and growth in new areas

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Daily posting on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
- Weekly posting on LinkedIn
- Daily community management across social channels and review platforms (Google, Facebook, Yelp, Trust Pilot)
- Compilation of weekly news report with articles featuring Ollie Quinn, industry news and relevant articles for OQ employees
- Event planning: liaising with boutique managers to plan activations
- Event coordinating: executing on event plans across our store portfolio
- Influencer research, outreach and partnership facilitation
- Visual merchandising: assisting our team refresh window displays and pop-up displays
- Other tasks and special projects, as they arise
